More Cold Air = More Horsepower

The basic purpose of the air intake system is to bring cool air from outside the engine compartment into the engine. The cooler air is denser than the air found within the hot engine compartment. The denser charge contains more oxygen than warmer air, providing better combustion through a more effective air/fuel mixture.

Another advantage of most specialty-equipment cold air intakes is their consistent diameters and the absence of sharp bends, both of which help to eliminate turbulence in the air stream.

AMSOIL EaAR Filters are specially designed for racing and street rod enthusiasts who desire AMSOIL Ea protection in carbureted applications. AMSOIL EaAR Air Filters are constructed with the same synthetic nanofiber media as other AMSOIL Ea Air Filters.

Expanded Applications
AMSOIL custom EaAR Filter assemblies are designed for racing applications. They incorporate good looks and excellent air flow in addition to the high efficiency afforded by AMSOIL Ea nanofiber technology. These custom air cleaner assemblies are designed for use with carbureted engines that use a 14-inch round element air cleaner housing. AMSOIL EaAR kits provide more air flow than competing assemblies. The kits feature the common 14-inch diameter carburetor plate, air filter and high air flow lid along with a two-inch, three-inch, four-inch, five-inch or six-inch-high filter. Replacement filters, air flow lids and carburetor plates are also sold separately.

Ea Air Flow Lids
AMSOIL EaAR Filter kits provide racers with more power through the new Ea air flow lids. The air flow lids are constructed using AMSOIL Ea nanofiber media, adding filtration area. They feature a polished aluminum trim ring with AMSOIL logos etched on the surface. Not only do the Ea air flow lids add filter area, they actually redirect air inside the filter to pull in more air through the side pleats for even greater performance efficiency.

What Are Pre-Filters?
Ea Pre-Filters fit over the top of existing air filters. These polyester mesh bags feature an industrial grade elastic band at the opening to ensure the pre-filter does not slide off.

Why Use Pre-Filters?
Racers and off-road enthusiasts subject their vehicles to some of the most severe conditions possible. These vehicles operate in areas of heavy dirt and mud that gets slung into every crack and corner, often clogging air filters. AMSOIL Ea Pre-Filters are designed to keep larger particles from getting into and clogging the pleats of air filters. When an air filter is clogged, the engine loses horsepower and, in the case of Ea Air Filters, the filter must be cleaned. There is no vacuum or compressed air available on the race track or out in the swamp, but an Ea Pre-Filter is easily removed and shaken free of debris in seconds.

Nanofiber Basics
Because the nanofibers in AMSOIL Ea Motorcycle Air Filter media are so small, there are more pores per square inch, allowing for higher dirt-holding capacity and lower pressure drop compared to traditional filter medias. The nanofiber technology causes submicron contaminants to be held on the surface layer of smaller fibers. This filtration characteristic is only possible with this new type of air filtration technology. In on-highway applications, where the contaminant is primarily submicron in size, Donaldson Endurance filters cause less restriction than conventional filters with cellulose media. The smaller interfiber spaces of nanofiber technology have a higher efficiency and capture more contaminant.
